Acid Slurry is a name for LABSA which stands for Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid. This is manufactured through sulphonation process of linear alkyl benzene by adding a sulphonation agent. Sulphonation is a reversible chemical reaction that yields benzenesulfonic acid by adding fuming sulfuric acid and sulfur trioxide. Acid slurry thus produced through this process is used for various industrial applications such as production of washing soap and detergent powder.
